Description
Stitch a pair of cozy minkee-lined mittens using a repurposed knit sweater or new fabric. The mittens can be embroidered using an appliqué design to add an extra touch of fun and sparkle. This pattern was featured in the Jan/Feb 2018 issue of Creative Machine Embroidery.
This pattern includes instructions and all the pattern pieces necessary to make one pair of one-size-fits-most adult mittens. Please note that this pattern DOES NOT include the embroidery designs shown on the featured sample. Design information can be found in the instructions.
Supplies:
- Readymade wool sweater or 1/3 yard of fleece or wool fabric
- 1/3 yard of minkee fabric
- 8″x10″ rectangle of contrasting fleece (appliqué)
- Water-soluble stabilizer
- Thread: bobbin & embroidery
- temporary spray adhesive
- Appliqué scissors
- Hand sewing needle
- Fourteen 3/8″ diameter buttons
- Floral appliqué embroidery design
